Jo Shackelford

Jo (Durham) Shackelford was born in Atlanta, Louisiana, but spent her teen years in Southern California where she met and married Luther Neal Shackelford. They moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where Luther (known as Shack) got a degree in Engineering while Jo stayed home with their large, growing family. They went on to have six children and move back to her home state, Louisiana. Jo spent many years teaching children’s bible classes and volunteering for every job possible. Eventually, she joined her husband in managing their Century 21 Real Estate business, where she stayed until age 85, even after her husband’s death. Jo currently lives in West Monroe, Louisiana where she is surrounded by her big family of six children, 12 grandchildren, twenty-six great grands and three great-greats!
